Pongratz Orthotics and Prosthetics is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Phoenix, AZ

Pongratz orthotics & prosthetics is looking for a medical receptionist to join our team in our newly renovated Phoenix location. You will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and handling of administrative procedures. A medical receptionist fulfills various duties including but not limited to: checking in and out patients, collection of patient portions, taking patient phone calls, patient scheduling, inter-office protocols with patients, insurance collections, prior-authorizations, etc. As well, these employees may handle special assignments or various tasks as requested. The essential functions of this position are

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for all duties related to patient check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Answers phone as first person in line responsible for fielding and directing calls.
  • Obtains all patient forms, verifies insurance benefits, and maintains patient charts per front office protocol.
  • Communicates ongoing with patients regarding but not limited to scheduled appointments, insurance benefits, and balances due at delivery.
  • Completes accurate data entry and documentation requirements in the computer patient management program.
  • Responsible for all duties related to check-out window procedures including but not limited to obtaining patient signatures, collection of patient deductible and/or coinsurance, and scheduling.
  • Handles and maintains scheduling of patient appointments.
  • Helps to ensure that proper documentation requirements and billing protocol has been completed related to patient appointments.
  • Assists with follow up on the status of authorization requests as needed.
  • Interprets for Spanish-speaking patients.
  • Assists with any other front office administrative assistant duties as needed and as requested.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
