TEAM MEMBER/GENERAL WORKER

All team members/general workers should be proficient in more than one area of responsibility and may not always work the same job function each day.

Description

As A Pomptonian team member, you are asked to assist in food production, assist the cooks, serve the customers, ring up customers, restock of products, maintain A sanitary environment and help with production records. You must be willing to back up other team members in their jobs and assist in any area. Team members should demonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude while delivering superior customer service. All team members must follow the guidelines of the Bureau of Child Nutrition. Typical hours per day: 2.5-6

Our job is to prepare pleasing meals and serve our customers with the utmost courtesy and professionalism in an appetizing environment. Any task that is needed to obtain this goal is the job of each and every employee of Pomptonian. Should anyone complete his/her normal routine, he/she should be looking for ways to assist his/her teammates. The one thing we NEVER want to hear is “THAT’S NOT MY JOB.”

The following are some but not all examples of the essential job functions:

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting (25-50 pounds)

Ability to use general cafeteria equipment (e.g. warmer, fryer,slicer, grill,etc.)

Ability to come to work promptly and regularly

Ability to take direction and work well with others

Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

Ability to concentrate and perform duties accurately

Ability to learn and apply policies and procedures

Ability to react to change productively and handle other tasks assigned

Ability to complete all applicable training programs

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Meet all training requirements under Professional Standards

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.13 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Experience:

• Food service: 1 year (Preferred)
