Pomeroy Independent Living is looking for a full time Dining Room Supervisor.
Job Summary
◦ The Dietary Dining Room Supervisor Communicates and collaborates with Dietary Director as well as the culinary staff to ensure smooth and efficient service and quality food throughout the shift
◦ Responsible for proper dining room set up with clean Table cloths and napkins if needed rolled silverware, proper utensils, plates, dishes, glassware.
◦ Inspects service kitchen daily to maintain required levels of cleanliness,
◦ Checks refrigeration temperature logs on all units daily
◦ Inventory storage of food items ,condiments, dry-goods, coffee ,beverages, small-wares, & paper plastic
◦ The Dietary Supervisor assist in overseeing the production of all food served from the kitchen to residents & guests
◦ Responsible for training dining room servers personnel
◦ The Dietary Supervisor position requires hands-on leadership providing full guidance and clear communication when delegating task
◦ Cover the schedule for call-ins on a daily basis
◦ Provide staff support and supervision in the Dietary Department
◦ Assist in preparing orders for all meals breakfast/brunch and Dinner.
◦ Responsible for Dining room/service kitchen organization and cleanliness
◦ Meet with dietary staff on a daily basis to discuss food orders, residents needs and nutrition,specials events,systems ,cleaning task and closing duties
◦ Expo Dinner service food and monitor and facilitate carryouts
◦ Daily Communication with Chefs on food presentation and menu descriptions salesmen concerning short supplies and out-of-stock items
◦ Prepare Table menus on a weekly basis
◦ Prepare special holiday menus as required; notify food production staff
◦ Write up and post all meal changes or special resident orders
◦ Monitor guest meal ticket charges, dietary meal count average. meal fees charged to residents
◦ Provide supervisory guidance to all cooks and dietary servers
◦ Participate in Tracking and logging waste as well as inventory levels for ordering
◦ Assist conducting in-service education for Dietary employees on a monthly basis
