EXPERIENCED TAX ACCOUNTANT

We are seeking an experienced tax preparer to join our Warner Center CPA firm. A good candidate to join our team is detail oriented, has the ability to interact and communicate with our clients in a courteous and professional manner, and is willing to work with the other accountants in the firm as needed. Our firm specializes in real estate accounting and preparation of the related tax returns and an expertise in this field is preferred. Preparation of compiled and reviewed financial statements as well as TIC schedules are a part of the position as well.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and fiduciaries
• Preparation of multi-state tax returns
• Preparation, organization, and review of the workpapers related to the return being prepared
• Preparation of tax projections
• Responding to taxing authority notices
• Tax research
• Preparation of compiled and reviewed financial statements
• Preparation of TIC schedules

Requirements:

• 2 years experience in income tax preparation at a public accounting firm
• Strong understanding of accounting in order to recommend and explain any proposed adjustments to client’s books.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong ability to work independently, accurately, and effectively in a team work environment
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, and Prosystem FX / Axcess (preferable, but not required)
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Ability to work in a paper-free (almost) environment

Other Information:
Salary is negotiable based upon experience.
Remote work is an option, but we prefer in-office work during the busy season.
