Maintenance Technician

Job Requirements & Responsibilities

Companywide maintenance support to ensure proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

· Preventative maintenance of company equipment

· Complete maintenance work requests

· Removes and replaces defective parts

· Fabricates repair parts utilizing mills and lathes

· Controls downtime by informing production supervisors when the equipment has been repaired

· Works safely and follows OSHA and NFPA safety requirements

· Assists other maintenance technicians when needed

· Operate forklift and scissors lift

· Willing to work regular and off-shift hours as needed

· Perform other assigned duties

· Work with management, engineering, and supervision to complete assigned tasks or projects

· Work inside the manufacturing facility as well as outside the facility in all types of weather

Qualifications / Experience

To perform this job successfully, the individuals must be qualified with the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below:

· Required to understand basic math including percentages, ratios, and proportions.

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents.

· Ability to write legibly.

· Ability to read/understand measuring devices (gauges and calipers).

· Work with Hand and Power Tools

. General knowledge of electrical (120vac, 240vac, and 480vac)

· Ability to Communicate effectively with Management and Supervision
