Polk County (OR) is Hiring a Meal-Site Substitute - ADRC, Amery (WI) Location Near Meal Site: AMERY, WI

This recruitment will remain open until filled. 
IDEAL position for someone seeking part-time work on an as-needed basis, limited to weekday mornings. The meal site locations would be at the Amery Congregational Church (Amery, WI). 
This is a limited, flexible, fill-in position that assists with providing meals and activities at local Nutrition Program at various Polk County Senior Dining Sites, serving congregate dining on an as-needed basis on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. 
 Essential Duties: These duties represent the typical duties and responsibilities assigned to this position but may not be inclusive of all tasks performed.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, maintaining a friendly, positive and safe environment
  • Cooks and organizes time to ensure meals are served as scheduled
  • Assist in the preparation of meals
  • Maintain all proper food handling; including, but not limited to sanitation, temperatures and avoidance of cross contamination
  • Clean work areas, equipment, dishes and dining area
  • Assist with recordkeeping
  • Ensure good sanitation practices are followed throughout the day.
  • Clean coolers and home delivered meal bags as needed.
  • Serve food to the congregate diners, assisting those who need help, and sit down with them as they eat their lunch.
  • Assure that leftover food is handled according to Nutrition Program policy.
  • Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean, safe and sanitary by sweeping and mopping the floor, wiping tables, etc.
  • Assist the public in a warm and courteous manner.
  • Participate as a team member to improve efficiency and cooperatively solve problems.
  • Adhere to department's policy of confidentiality.

 Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED.
