The Police Athletic League (PAL) is the largest independent youth organization in New York City that provides educational and recreational activities for children and young adults. PAL Inc. and The New York City Police Department work in partnership to provide communities with summer and after-school recreational and educational activities.
We are looking for a part-time seasonal SYEP Intake Coordinator who will be responsible for collecting, reviewing, and assisting participants with the completion of the SYEP application remotely. Intake Coordinators will be responsible for the pre-monitoring of all prospective worksites and completing all necessary pre-monitoring reports. He/She will act as a liaison between PAL’s Youth Employment Department and the worksites Supervisor. The Intake Coordinators will assist in the enrollment process remotely. Intake Coordinators will assist with completing SYEP documents, maintaining participants' folders, contact participants' enrollments.
The position is available at the Youth Employment - Edward Byrne Center - Queens
Must be willing to travel throughout NYC 5 Boroughs
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Model and uphold all Agency rules.
2. Must be willing to travel within NYC’s 5 boroughs.
3. Assist with the worksite development process as need.
4. Assist with the SYEP job placement as needed.
5. Assist with the maintenance of program file as needed.
6. Enter monitoring reports to the DYCD YEPS system.
7. Create and submit program related reports (excel and word documents) as requested.
8. Work collaboratively and professionally with a varied group of colleagues.
9. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
· Strong communication skills.
· Experience working in an office environment, with prior data entry experience preferred.
· Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google.
· Ability to work independently and in a group.
Pay Rate: $18.00 Per Hour Up to 35 Hours Per Week
