Marquis Certified Home Care

Marquis Certified Home Care (CHHA) is in search of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to care for our members/clients/patients residing in an assisted living facility in Amsterdam, NY for Home Care. Candidate will be primarily responsible for insulin administration at meal times. Qualified candidates will have a NY LPN license; will have a minimum of 1 year of Home Health, Acute Care, Rehab, or Medical-Surgical nursing experience - insulin administration experience preferred.

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE:10 hour shifts, Rotating Schedule.

Location: Amsterdam, NY

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE COMPENSATION: $28 per hour

What you will do:

Provide quality skilled nursing care to residents, care may include but is not limited to those with diabetes, wounds, and injectable medications.
Document accurately and efficiently in EMR.
Work collaboratively with the RN of both the CHHA and the RN in the facility as well as communicating with other staff as needed including administrators, providers, and therapists.
Reporting changes in condition and other findings as per agency protocol.
Participate in agency's quality assurance program.
Other tasks as assigned.

Ideal Candidate:

Active NYS Licensed Practical Nurse Licensure/Registration
Active NYS Driver’ License, CPR/BLS Card
One year of Licensed Practical Nurse experience is preferred, however, new graduates are welcome to apply
Previous homecare experience and/or acute care or rehab experience is a plus
