Job Description

We are growing company looking for an experienced freight handler/receiver/loader/forklift operator. Responsibilities

• ON TIME and SOLID ATTENDANCE is ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY.
• Excellent ability to follow precise paperwork procedures.
• Efficiently sort, handle, load, and unload freight using the appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including forklift, pallet jack and by hand as needed.
• Utilize company devices to process and properly receive incoming products. · Safely drive in and out of trailers and unload and load flatbeds.
• Manually lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs.) · Secure freight inside trailers and on flatbeds/flat-racks using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g., pallets, straps, rope).
• Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Safely walk, reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Adhere to company safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the warehouse (this may include non-forklift-related duties).

Requirements

• ON TIME and SOLID ATTENDANCE is ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY.
• Excellent ability to follow precise paperwork procedures.
• Forklift experience.
• Preferred knowledge in loading containers, trailers, flatbed and flat rack equipment for domestic ocean shipping.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.).
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, and lift overhead while stacking, pushing/pulling freight and materials throughout the shift.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete required training.
• Ability to work independently and/or as a team member.
• ON TIME and GOOD ATTENDANCE Absolutely Critical.
• Ability to work up-to 9pm a couple days/week.

Job Type: Full-time Pay:

• DOE (Min. $24.00/hr.)
