Polamer Precision Inc. is Hiring a Gage Technician Near New Britain, CT
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Control of use of measuring and test equipment
- Ensure that all measuring equipment is adequately calibrated
- Update and maintain a calibration recall system
- Review and maintain all certificate of conformance for external calibration labs
- Verify need for new gages and measuring equipment purchase
- Set test equipment for the production
- Provide training for proper usage of measuring devices for the machine operators
- Control test equipment in designated area to prevent unintended use and damage
- Repair damaged measuring equipment
- Remove damaged or out of calibration measuring equipment from production area
- Control calibration records
- Ensure handling protection and storage of gages
- Assign sequential serial numbers for proper identification
- Perform investigation for product accepted by equipment being out of tolerance
- Set and prepare measuring equipment for machine operators
- Maintain Gage R&R process
