JOB TITLE: Security Officer
REPORTS TO: Chief of Security
SUPERVISES: None
Job Description:
It is the primary responsibility of the SECURITY OFFICER to demonstrate superior customer service skills by answering questions, escorting guests to their destinations, assisting in medical emergencies, and helping with guest needs and to provide for the general safety and security of guests, employees, and company assets. Successful completions of all training programs are required by Security, such as CPR/First Aid, etc. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Poker Palace policies, practices, and procedures.Specific Job Functions:
- Walks all areas of the casino to greet guests and handle issues that may arise
- Escorts other employees as necessary
- Operates a two-way radio to communicate with the Control Room and other Security personnel
- Resolves complaints and issues involving both guests and employees
- Monitors access to restricted areas
- Provides assistance to disabled/impaired people including those in wheelchairs
- Removes and carries drop boxes from the gaming tables
- Monitor the Television (CCTV) / digital recording programs and observation of the casino activities
- Operates company owned vehicle to respond to incidents and maintain security on and off property
- Provides cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Uses computer to complete reports regarding property incidents such as guest accidents, personal property damage, vehicle accidents, theft, and guest complaints
- Other related duties as necessary
QUIREMENTS:
Requirements:
- Minimum of at least one year ( 1) customer service experience
- Possess or be able to obtain a Nevada Driver’s License
- Complete a CPR class within 90 days of employment
- Complete all phases of security training including handcuffing training within 90 days of employment
- Be able to obtain a Gaming Registration
- Six months of experience in Security within a casino, gaming or Security environment
- Previous security and/or military experience
- Bi-lingual a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms.
- Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to Poker Palace standards.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
MATH SKILLS: High School diploma/GED
COMPUTER OPERATIONS: Basic understanding of Microsoft Office suite
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Be able to lift or move 40lbs and stand on your feet for several hours at a time
