- Plan and provide appropriate individual, group and classroom-based therapeutic services to students consistent with speech and language goals as written in the Individual Education Plans (IEP).
- Evaluate effectiveness and outcomes of treatment/response to therapy interventions (RTI) to identify student progress and/or determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
- Conduct independent evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and conditions to determine eligibility for services by making decisions based on what is best for the student.
- Develop clinical management strategies or procedures and diagnostic statements by interpreting observations or data.
- Coach and involve caregivers in evaluation process.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other interdisciplinary team members to plan and implement classroom activities to improve communication skills of students across educational settings.
- Provide professional development in assigned schools to help school personnel identify and understand communication deficits in students.
- Participate in in-service education and team conferences.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents about the student's therapy goals and educational needs.
- Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process to assist in interpretation of assessment data, appropriate placement, and goal setting for students with communication disorders or conditions according to district procedures.
- Create, maintain and support a learning environment that is academically, emotionally and physically safe.
- Prepare and submit, as directed, all case documentation, including evaluation data, treatments, clinical and progress notes and required billing information according to company policy.
- Write and maintain confidential client case notes and reports.
- Maintain an attendance register in accordance with the Service Page of the IEP for each student.
- Adapt educational materials and equipment to provide intervention and/or meet the individual student’s needs.
- Collect data on student achievements to document activities, prepare reports and/or updating IEP logs.
- Maintain and prepare a variety of manual and electronic materials (e.g. charts, logs, records and/or reports) to document activities, provide written reference, convey information, and/or comply with mandated requirements.
- Maintain high and low-tech augmentative communication devices and equipment and have familiarity with symbol-based software such as Boardmaker Online.

- Proficient language and communication skills, including business writing and professional telephone manner
