Description: The Government requires life cycle logistics support for the sustainment of the Milstar, Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF), and Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) III MILSATCOM systems. The COOLR effort will include bus and payload software/hardware sustaining engineering, software and database sustainment, ground hardware sustainment, on-orbit satellite operations and sustainment support, infrastructure support, Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT), operational resiliency (space-related and system), cybersecurity resiliency (defensive cybersecurity), operations assurance, and AEHF/Milstar technical data services. PSG seeks a Linux System Administrator for a project in Sunnyvale, CA to join our team for Echelon 2 (E2) sustainment of a signal distribution system. The operational system utilizes a variety of systems, including bare-metal servers, VMs, On-prem Kubernetes hosting services, and cloud hosted services. Along with sustainment, we continue active development of new capabilities and recaps of existing systems and are looking for candidates who can support design and development for future systems. Job Requirements
* Install and configure Red Hat Linux operating systems: RHEL 6/7
* Debug computer problems as reported by end users
* Ensure compliance with computer security policy, Risk Management Framework (RMF)
* Follow defined Change Management (CM) policies for system updates
* Apply Operating System and antivirus updates and WSUS patching/updates Basic Qualifications:
* 3 years' experience with Red Hat Linux administration
* 3 years' experience with VMWare administration
* 2 years' experience configuring systems for deployment in a DoD Secret Environment
* Active Security CE Certification
* Knowledge of software licensing and procurement practices
* Ability to communicate effectively and work in an organized manner
* Ability to work 24/7 on-site shift work when required to support mission critical systems and user needs.
