Point Dedicated Services seeks an experienced Mexican Carrier Base Manager (MUST BE FLUENT IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH -SPEAKING AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS)
This position will report directly to the Terminal Manager.
Responsibilities specific to this position:
- Communicate daily with Mexican carrier base to establish coverage on freight entering and departing Mexico.
- Utilize our TMS system to update our teams, customers and carriers.
- Plan and coordinate the daily schedule of loads.
- Negotiate Rates with current providers, while making sure we continue providing and receiving the same expected service.
- Assign, dispatch, monitor and update international shipments, utilizing provided company tools.
- Update customers via websites, customer portals, phone and/or emails.
- Manage customs paperwork needed to assist partner carriers and/or our trucks crossing the border.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED required.
- Must be bilingual. (English/Spanish)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
- 2 years of experience in a logistics field.
- Excellent at problem solving.
- Ability to work well in an office setting, managing multiple tasks, and being a team player.
- Have great communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to be trained and adapt to new procedures.
