Our delivery drivers will be operating box trucks and step-vans in urban and suburban areas surrounding the terminal. You will be operating out of the FedEx terminal at 4357 S Alston Ave Durham NC 27713. We are looking for motivated and dependable individuals to work as part of a team! Pay: $20 an hour to start

Schedule: FULL TIME | Tuesday - Saturday | 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

PART TIME - [Days] | 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Requirements:

• Drivers must be 21 years of age or older
• Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Report
• Drivers must be willing to submit to a background check
• Drivers must be able to physically manage packages up to 100 - 150 lbs
• Drivers must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Drivers must be able to pass a drug test and DOT physical exam (PAID BY EMPLOYER)

Duties:

• Arrive at the terminal in a timely manner.
• Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers, without damage to the packages, company vehicle or yourself.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries using GPS
• Possibly need to load cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
• Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery, if necessary
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes
• Ability to operate various types of delivery vehicles, such as vans and box trucks.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and co-workers
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks, such as loading and unloading cargo
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
