Assist with all aspects of patient care as directed by physicians. Maintain examination rooms. Call pharmacy with prescriptions and patients with test results. Performs duties and responsibilities as directed in a manner consistent with our core values.

Responsibilities:

Provides patient care as directed by physicians and management.

Escorts patient to exam room and takes vital signs.

Heavy computer entry, IMS Suite-Med or equivalent EMR experience required.

Assists with office procedures, including diagnostic ultrasound, cultures, taping, strapping, drawing injections, etc.

Calls pharmacy with prescriptions, calls patients with lab, test results.

Performs x-rays of the foot and ankle, as required.

Maintains examination rooms appropriately, ordering supplies as needed/directed. Assists with patient instruction as needed.

May assist with check in/check out, procedure scheduling, insurance authorization, answering of phones as directed.

May perform additional job-related duties as directed or when needs dictate.

Skills and Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year experience as a medical assistant, preferably in a busy office setting

Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize work and attention to detail is a must

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Social perceptiveness and service-oriented

Knowledge of medical office policies and procedures

Proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Prefer graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.

Experience: Previous medical office experience in private practice. Prefer specialty experience. IMS or previous EMR system.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
