    ADDITIONAL INFO: 35 hours per week
    DAYS: Nine month employment
    SALARY SCHEDULE: Rate of pay will be $13.46 per hour
    START DATE: Beginning of 2023-24 school year.
    JOB SUMMARY: The principal function of an employee in this class is to bake foods for school lunches, snacks and breakfasts. Cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment and work area. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Central
    Kitchen Manager. The principal duties of this class are performed in an education institution commercial kitchen setting. Working with commercial kitchen equipment may involve related hazards. Work requires physical exertion (e.g. lifting
    flour sacks, large quantities of bread dough, etc.). Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with District policies, procedures, and safety practices. May be involved in catering events; monthly inventory and sack lunches.
    JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must have knowledge of methods and material used to prepare bread products for large-scale production; use and care of cooking utensils and equipment. Must have knowledge of sanitation and safety practices used in food handling and
    preparation. Must have the ability to calculate volume measurements used in cooking; communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must establish priorities and work within time constraints and deadlines. Communicate effectively
    and establish working relationships with food service staff, other employees, administrators and the public. Work independently with minimal supervision, and make appropriate decisions in the absence of a supervisor. A high school
    diploma or GED equivalency is preferred. Must be able to lift and move objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.
    EMPLOYMENT INFO: Transfers are available on-line for District employees (Internal Application). All other must apply through the School District on-line AppliTracks application form (External Application).
    BENEFITS INFO: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employee's Retirement are available to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position. This position is eligible for full time insurance.
