WORK LOCATION : Tasting Room in Newberg
Reports To : Tasting Room Manager & Director of Consumer Sales
Responsibilities :
Maintenance and reinforcement of the winery image and onsite experience, while staying consistent and true to the brand reputation to develop brand loyalty
Comfortable using Winedirect and Tock
Keeps a gracious, engaging, and hospitable attitude with all guests
Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from visitors with care, being sure to escalate any issues to management when necessary.
Encourages customers to purchase our wines through enthusiasm and knowledge of the product and the brand
Focused on promoting club sign-ups
Performs opening and closing procedures as directed by Management, which includes but is not limited to set-up and breakdown of tables, chairs, physical inventory counts, housekeeping, and other back of house duties as need as well as all items related to tasting room events.
Handles routine sales transactions which include handling cash and accounting of daily sales with accuracy. Doing daily pour count entry.
Assists with display and stocking of retail items and wines to maintain a high-quality appearance
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the facilities
Assist with hospitality special events and outside functions when needed
Additional requirements :
Must be 21 years or older
Team player, energetic, hard-working, friendly, trustworthy and reliable
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Previous retail sales experience preferred
Previous hospitality / service industry is preferred
Spirits or bartending / mixology knowledge is a plus
Flexible schedule, weekend and holiday availability is required
Detail-oriented
A valid drivers license and OLCC server s permit
Ability to lift 40 lbs (case of wine) repeatedly throughout the day
Must maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, health, and safety
Commission on wine sales and club sign-ups as well!
