Good Company is a cheese bar and bistro in Downtown Newberg. We are seeking to add a full time associate to our team. This is a rare opportunity! Shifts are Tuesday - Saturday.

Associates help in every area of the business, which include (but is not limited to) :

• Cutting cheese and charcuterie to order for customers and assisting them in their selections based on your product knowledge
• Preparing simple menu items such as cheese plates and sandwiches
• Pouring beer, wine, spirits, and mixing cocktails
• Providing table side service

Good candidates will :

Have knowledge of fine cheeses, charcuterie, wine, and other specialty foods. You will be required to eat the products for your job to obtain true product knowledge.

Professional experience in this area is highly valued, but not required. We will train!

• Have previous experience in retail and / or hospitality positions.
• Know how to cook, even if it s just in your home kitchen.
• Have or be able to obtain an Oregon Food Handler's Card and an OLCC Server's Permit. This is a full serve bar, so candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to sustain the physical demands of the job, which include standing for long periods of time, lifting / pushing / pulling up to 50 lbs, bending / stooping, and climbing stairs.
• Exhibit a sense of urgency, attention to detail and accuracy, willingness to learn and collaborate, and ability to work and multitask in a sometimes fast-paced work environment.
• Have good schedule availability with the ability to cover other shifts as needed in the absence of another team member.
