As a Infrastructure Architect Sr within PNC's Enterprise Technology's organization, you will be based in Cleveland, OH. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion.
Managing and overseeing an internally developed tool for performance engineering and load testing, which utilizes open-source tools like JMeter to perform service level testing and ensure continuous testing.
Providing guidance to application teams on how to Integrate performance testing into their development pipeline.
Responsible for Understanding the needs of the customers and company's objectives and use that knowledge to define the product vision and strategy.
Responsible for guiding the development team to create a successful product that meets the needs of the Application users.
Responsible for creating a product backlog, a prioritized list of features that need to be developed in order to achieve the product vision.
Work closely with customers, users, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and gather feedback on the product.
Responsible for managing the product backlog, including adding, removing, and prioritizing items as needed.
Work closely with the development team to ensure they understand the product vision and strategy, and to answer any questions they may have about the product backlog.
Responsible for ensuring that the product meets quality standards and is ready for release.

Job Description
  • Defines design patterns for a company's common technology architecture structure.
  • Develops and monitors the organization's technology architecture and plays a leading role in the vision and development of the company's future technology.
  • Ensures infrastructure designs and upgrades are made in accordance with established standards, patterns, policies, procedures and software licensing agreements.
  • Identifies and establishes best practices for technology architecture, while providing expert advice on core infrastructure initiatives.
  • Interprets technology requirements; designs technology architecture and drives the adoption.

Platform Architecture - Knowledge of technologies and methods to design processing mechanisms and roadmaps to execute business application systems; ability to design these roadmaps and deploy supportive interfaces for end-users to access related systems, in accordance with standards and processes.
Problem Solving - Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Systems Software Infrastructure - Knowledge of software technology, and the ability to plan global, regional and local software architecture and infrastructure components.
The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) - Knowledge of and ability to use this universal framework released by 'The Open Group' to effectively plan, develop and govern enterprise architecture.
Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry relevant experience is typically 8 years. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
