Medical Billing Clerk
Job Summary:
PMSI Inc is looking for a Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and is looking to be part of a dynamic team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurate claim scrubbing
- Communicates with staff at facilities to clear up any discrepancies
- Prompt submittal of claims for payment
- AR follow-up and collections
- Research and resolve coding/billing projects
- Successfully appeal denials and track results from carriers
- Account audits for coding compliance
- Posting of payments to patient accounts
- Supports leadership with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting needs as required
- Must meet daily production goal
- Must meet quality coding goal of averaging 95% accuracy
Qualifications:
·High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
·Minimum 1-year experience in medical billing or collection preferred.
·Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
