The IT SAP Development Lead is responsible for overall support of SAP Production/Warehouse application systems. Responsibilities include identifying improvements in business processes, implementation, training, and documentation. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, a deep understanding of SAP system knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibility:

• Lead and guide the ABAP development team, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, interfaces, reports, and enhancements.
• Perform code reviews to ensure quality, efficiency, and maintainability of ABAP code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in ABAP programs, interfaces, and reports.
• Collaborate with functional teams to understand business processes and provide technical expertise to enhance SAP functionality.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, and user guides.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP ABAP technologies, tools, and best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
• Provide SAP Technical support during SAP Integration projects while integrating new plants into the PLZ SAP template.
• Ability to support business in post-go-live stages of projects.
• Act as integration lead when transferring data between SAP and non-SAP systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or related field preferred.
• Extensive experience in SAP ABAP development, including hands-on experience in developing programs, interfaces, and reports.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP Object-oriented programming (OOABAP), Web Dynpro.
• Proficient in SAP development methodologies and tools, such as ABAP Workbench, ABAP Dictionary, and Data Migration techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex business requirements.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies is a plus.
• Experience working in a team as well as an independent environment.
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization including the ability to explain technical processes and concepts to non-technical user groups.
• Takes initiative and self-motivator. Ability to identify and understand business problems and offer viable solutions to address them same.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Ability to establish, build, and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Good documentation skills and ability to create documents for blueprinting, configuration, test cases, defect resolution, and training materials.
