The Associate Paralegal position requires a candidate with a strong attention to detail to assist with clerical and other tasks. Must have positive attitude and work as a team player to accomplish tasks efficiently and accurately. On the job training in firm software and the legal process provided.

Here is what you will do: 

Responsible for the following tasks for a team of two attorneys:

• Drafting pleadings, including motions, subpoenas, and deposition notices;
• Monitoring compliance with written discovery requests and Keeper of Records subpoenas;
• Coordinating expert records reviews and Rule 35 Medical Exams;
• Process and docket all incoming mail;
• Draft and send outgoing mail to clients, courts, and attorneys;
• Schedule and confirm attorney appointments;
• Keep paper files organized and up-to-date; and
• Scanning, copying, and other tasks as they arise.
• Assist with answering main phone line when receptionist is busy or on break; and
• Assist with any other firm tasks or projects as necessary.

Here is what you will bring to the table: 

• Relevant legal experience and knowledge of MA civil procedure preferred.
• Must be fully competent with basic Microsoft operating systems and programs (Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Must have strong typing, computer, and phone skills.
• Must be able to complete tasks accurately with strong attention to detail.
• College degree and paralegal certificate preferred.
