Plymouth Bay Orthopedics is Hiring a Surgical Scheduler Near Plymouth, MA

Plymouth Bay Orthopedics is a busy practice is seeking a dedicated professional to enhance the team of Surgical Schedulers. The Surgical Scheduler acts as a liaison between the surgeon, patient and hospital for the coordination of surgical care. Plymouth Bay Orthopedic Associates strives to provide quality orthopedic care through exceptional attention detail. If you are an experienced Surgical Coordinator who is kind, enthusiastic and dedicated, we are looking for YOU!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordination and scheduling of preoperative, medical clearance and post operative appointments for surgical procedures and any required diagnostic tests
  • Instructs patients on procedure protocol and responds to patient's questions and concerns
  • Ensures that all preoperative paperwork is completed and forwarded to the operating room
  • Collaborates with Surgeons for smooth flow of patient care
  • Maintains PHI according to HIPAA guidelines

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Office Experience

Skills/Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Orthopedic ICD-10 and CPT codes
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently, work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Communicates clearly in conversations, interactions, and in writing
  • Efficient time management
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Organization and analytical skills necessary to maintain a smooth workflow
  • Effectively handles interactions at all levels and appropriately responds to sensitive situations
  • Promotes healthy organizational culture

Full Time: 40 hours / No weekends / 12 holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
