Ply Gem Windows & Doors is Hiring a Quality inspector 1st Near Peachtree, GA

Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay is $17.00 per hour

Shift : 1st Shift Monday through Friday 6 : 00am-4 : 30pm (Saturdays as needed)

Benefits Start Day 1

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect finished goods to assure and enhance the customer’s experience
  • Communicate audit findings with Production Team and Quality Team
  • Review and contain audit findings for analysis and corrective actions
  • Self-driven to follow up with the team
  • Aid in document control activities posting documents, follow through with approvers
  • Use calipers and other measuring devices to conduct standard testing of both finished goods and Process audits
  • Aid in identifying best practices and looking across all lines
  • Assist with documentation of non-conformances and corrective actions
  • Validate product conformance when process adjustments are made
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable of customer expectations
  • Knowledgeable of the production line
  • Have over 90 days of experience on the respective line
  • Knowledge and utilization of basic PC skills
  • Previous Experience working with measuring and monitoring devices
  • Previous Experience reading and understanding written specifications preferred
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated Customer First persona
  • Proactive in safety and works well in a team environment
  • Physical demands include bending, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, sitting, squatting, reaching and handling objects;

standing and walking up to 85%- 90% of the shift

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Be able to work overtime hours and Saturday as needed
