CLOUD DATA ARCHITECT - SME

LOCATION: DMV - 50/50 on/off site work

CLEARANCE LEVEL: TS/SCI w/CI Poly (Must Have)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and implement cloud solutions in accordance with customer objectives and mission needs.
• Manage the flow of data and how that data is processed and distributed across stakeholders and other applications for reporting, analytics, and dissemination.
• Work across Operations, Security, Development (application and infrastructure)
• Test teams providing guidance and leadership necessary to maintain a focused technical approach that aligns with contract and customer objectives.
• Evangelize methodologies for building and operating highly available, scalable cloud services
• Provide expertise on reducing and resolving production incidents (e.g. Site Reliability Engineering)
• Lead cloud teams to develop solutions designed to improve cloud operations and associated processes
• Establish yourself as a trusted agent providing expert advice and guidance in support of customer objectives
• Evaluate, build and modify automation for deploying and operating production services
• Create, assess, update and maintain documentation pertaining to Product Lines
• Develop and design elastic, resilient and self-healing Cloud native applications
• Crafting excellent documentation for respective projects and carrying ownership for the code and the instructional tutorials of how to use it
• Work with team members to design, architect, and implement solutions across geographic locations
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree with 14 years of directly related hands-on experience OR
• Master's degree with 12 years of relevant experience
• PhD with with 9 years of relevant experience
• 4 Years of additional experience can be traded in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
• Relevant cloud certification(s)
• Experience with Java, Python, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with developing enterprise-level data architectures
• Experience working in a robust Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) environment
• Experience with Keycloak
• Experience with;
• Data Warehousing
• Database management systems
• Relational and non-relational databases
• Various enterprise software ETL tools
• Experience with map engines such as OpenLayers and Cesium
• Experience with Intelligence Community cloud operations
• Security or equivalent certification
• Experience using Vue.js or a similar JavaScript framework
• Experience with development environments including Java, Angular, Wildfly, Openshift, Docker, Jenkins, Git, Redmine, Artifactory, Postgres 10, various Cloud technologies (such as S3 and ElastiCache), Oracle, and Weblogic
