Plummer’s Natural Systems Practice focuses on the development of nature-based solutions to improve the quality of water, restore and/or improve habitat quality and function, mitigate impacts from flooding, and achieve other water-centric objectives. Plummer is looking for an industry recognized leader to join and lead our Natural Systems practice across the organization by serving as a thought leader, managing branding, and developing and winning strategic pursuits. The Practice Leader will also serve as a technical advisor on projects and will assure consistency and quality across the practice.

The Practice Leader will report to the Chief Technical Officer, who will provide ongoing guidance and mentorship.

Our ideal teammate will have at least 15 years of professional experience in environmental or civil engineering, with an emphasis on natural systems design, such as constructed wetlands for water quality improvement and/or compensatory mitigation. Fields of competency shall include project management and business development, hydraulics and hydrology, civil design, soils, and geotechnical interpretation, and understanding natural systems treatment processes. We are seeking an accomplished communicator with time management skills and the ability to problem solve and build relationships with clients and team members.

We require a bachelor’s degree in agricultural, civil, environmental, or chemical engineering (Masters or PhD degree strongly preferred) and Professional Engineer licensure. We also require a firm understanding of engineering fundamentals related to natural treatment systems and other nature-based solutions; have leadership and mentoring skills; and have the ability to collaboratively plan, problem-solve, and follow-through on projects.

Salary Range: $149,000 - $195,000
