We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Estimator to join our company. We are a top commercial plumbing contractor in the South Florida market. With over 25 plus years of reputable market experience.

The Estimator is responsible for evaluating leads, assessing bid specifications, plans, scope review, and contracts. The Estimator ensures that we are aware of everything required to bid accurately and successfully. They will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation, as well as project completion responsibilities. Experience in Commercial, Hospitality, and ground up projects ranging from $200k to $10M.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate estimates, sketches, proposals, and budgets in a timely manner. Study drawings and specifications for plumbing takeoffs to ensure accuracy.

• Oversee all aspects of projects from procurement to planning to implementation, ensuring the timeliness, quality, and uniformity of the projects

• Identify project opportunities using established online platforms and assesses project compatibility

• Allocates proper resources for assigned projects

• Prepares and participates in the preparation and presentation of cost/budget information. Well versed in Buyout procurement for materials & fixture packages.

• Interface with association members, project inspectors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, clients, and insurance representatives

• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications

• Monitor projects financial performance versus budgets to ensure profitability

• Maintains communication with clients, and addresses any actions necessary to close out projects satisfactorily

• Ensure proper use of management software on all projects. All project documents should be uploaded and maintained. All projects should have accurate budgets in place.

• Ability to attend site visits with General Contractors to review scope and obtain accurate bid information.

• Able to stay organized with all documents/drawings to easily transfer from the estimating phase to award phase with a project. Well versed in Buyout procurement for materials & fixture packages.

• Contact vendors for bid material quotes, work with team to ensure accuracy and scope fits.

• Document control. Create advanced Submittal packages for all estimated projects.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in plumbing estimating and/or management

• 5 years preferred in Commercial, Healthcare, Hospitality and/or Industrial ground up projects.

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Strong knowledge of FastPIPE take-off estimating software.

• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Office, Excel, and Word

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing

• Strong negotiation and analytical skills

• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize the importance of multiple tasks

• Deadline and detail-oriented
