Job description: Food Server

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Food Server to join our dynamic team. As a Food Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:
1. Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner, providing them with menus and assisting in menu selections if needed.
2. Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.
3. Show proficiency in understanding dietary restrictions or special requests of guests and communicate them effectively to the kitchen staff.
4. Deliver food and beverages to guest tables promptly and efficiently, while adhering to proper serving techniques and utilizing tray-carrying skills.
5. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire dining experience, answering any questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
6. Ensure tables are set with clean tableware, condiments, and appropriate utensils before guests are seated, and replenish supplies as needed.
7. Take responsibility for billing and processing payments accurately, while also maintaining the security of cash and credit card transactions.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including dining areas, trays, and service stations, following sanitary and safety standards.
9. Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and efficient service, as well as proper communication and coordination.
10. Assist in cleaning and resetting tables for the next guest, including removal of dirty dishes, wiping down tables, and refilling condiments.
11. Stay updated on menu items, promotions, and daily specials, offering recommendations to guests based on their preferences and requirements.
12. Follow company policies and procedures, including uniform standards, grooming guidelines, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
13. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required, actively participating in ongoing professional development initiatives.

Requirements:
1. Proven work experience as a Food Server in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, coworkers, and management.
3. Strong customer service skills, demonstrating a friendly and outgoing personality while maintaining professionalism.
4. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Knowledge of food and beverage terminology, ingredients, and preparation methods.
6. Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
7. Physical stamina and dexterity to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods of time.
8. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills accurately.
9. Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
