Position Overview:

Point of contact within PLS for employees and suppliers regarding day to day requests for indirect goods and services related to the needs of the Support Center & Operations. Adheres to all procurement policies and procedures. Implement strategic sourcing strategies and plans consistent with overall department and Support Center strategic direction in all day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Manager of Procurement with implementation of sourcing programs.
  • Design, administer and lead sourcing projects assigned by Manager.
  • Manage assigned supplier base to the content and deliverables within contractual relationships.
  • Commodity and supplier knowledge in the assigned areas- preferably in IT Hardware/Services, General Construction and Marketing Goods/Services.
  • Organize and participate in Quarterly Business Review meetings for assigned categories/suppliers.
  • Primary administrator of the PLS eProcurement System.
  • Maintain set-up, user access & delegation of authority within assigned supplier websites/catalogs.
  • Process approved purchase requisitions and places purchase orders for supplies, equipment, indirect goods or services within authorized signature limits. Follow up on purchase order approvals.
  • Support internal stakeholders with the sourcing and procurement of projects; e.g.- office supplies, furniture, facility products, service categories and others as assigned.
  • Obtain quotes from suppliers for price, delivery and terms with a total cost of ownership approach.
  • Fill out proper paper work / due diligence for new supplier requests.
  • Comply with all legal and compliance requirements related to management of suppliers and programs, such as P-card auditing and others assigned by Manager.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 years Procurement experience including purchasing, negotiating contracts, contract management, supplier development and supplier qualification/certification
  • eProcurement experience-preferably COUPA or Ariba
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) with the ability to present supply concepts at the business level
  • Ability to manage conflict and encourage collaboration
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of general commercial contract terms and market pricing
  • Demonstrated experience in MS Office applications and other project management and financial applications.
  • Strong analytical skills (excel based)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt a plus
  • C.P.M. & CPSM certification a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 15 lbs.
  • 5% travel
