HOW YOU WILL DO IT

Purpose Statement: Responsible for a variety of cost and financial activities for a manufacturing site. Includes but not limited to product costing, site cost model maintenance and improvement, preparation and analysis of customer and focus factory P&L's and special projects as assigned.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Determine cost allocations to customer for material labor and fixed cost by using the ABC costing method.
  • Financial Statement Preparation; partnering with corporate accounting to ensure key balance sheet and P&L accounts are properly stated.
  • Provide financial analysis by reviewing trial balance and preparing reports in non-financial, user-friendly formats.
  • Team Support; providing support to the financial analysts for margin analysis and other general ledger related questions.
  • Focus' on a limited number MPFs and demonstrates the ability to execute processes and procedures to analyze and deliver business results.
  • Works with more senior FCA's to develop financial acumen and understanding of business models.

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Support manufacturing operations with financial related metrics of scrap, work order aging, and labor contribution. Drive improvements with manufacturing team.
  • Determine the month end WIP labor valuation including a reconciliation of General Ledger to the perpetual inventory system.
  • Calculate standard labor rates used to allocate labor cost to assemblies and customers.
  • Gather financial and non-financial data for preparation of internal financial package.
  • Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (less than 1%).
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required; a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  • Less than One (1) year of related experience is required; One (1) or more years of related experience is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is beneficial for senior level position.
  • Employee must successfully complete all internal training courses offered by the company necessary to fulfill this position.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

  • Proactive problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Basic understand of cost accounting principles.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • General office equipment and materials.

Work Environment:

  • The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
