Currently, we are seeking a certified and dedicated Yoga Instructor to join our dynamic team at the SunTerra Community in Katy, TX.

Job Description: As a Yoga Instructor at the SunTerra Community, you will lead yoga classes, providing expert instruction and guidance to participants of all levels. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for yoga, a solid understanding of various yoga styles and philosophies, and the ability to create a tranquil, inclusive, and supportive class environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct yoga classes for groups, offering a range of styles and levels to accommodate all participants.
• Design and implement class sequences, ensuring a balanced, effective, and safe practice for students.
• Provide clear, precise instruction and demonstrate postures to guide students through their practice.
• Adjust and modify poses to suit individual needs and ensure a safe, accessible practice for everyone.
• Create a serene and inviting class atmosphere, promoting mindfulness, relaxation, and the overall well-being of participants.
• Stay informed about the latest yoga trends, techniques, and wellness practices to ensure a holistic and enriching experience for students.
• Build and maintain positive relationships within the community, fostering a culture of health, mindfulness, and unity.

Requirements:

• Certification from a recognized yoga teacher training program.
• Additional certification in CPR/First Aid.
• Proven experience as a Yoga Instructor, with a strong personal practice and understanding of yoga principles.
• Ability to teach a variety of yoga styles to students of different skill levels and physical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to create a nurturing, supportive, and inclusive class environment.
• Understanding of anatomy and the ability to offer pose modifications to prevent injuries and support individual practice.
• Organizational skills for managing class schedules and effectively promoting classes within the community.
• Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to offer classes at times convenient for community members.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• Opportunities for additional earnings through private sessions, specialized workshops, or retreats.
