Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team in the Operating Room. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care during surgical procedures. The Registered Nurse will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Responsibilities:

• Preoperative Assessment:
• Conduct thorough preoperative assessments of patients, ensuring accurate medical histories and necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Intraoperative Care:
• Maintain a sterile and safe environment in the operating room.
• Assist the surgical team by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
• Monitor patients during surgery, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Administer medications as directed by the anesthesia team.
• Postoperative Care:
• Provide postoperative care, monitoring patients in the recovery room.
• Collaborate with the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) team to ensure a smooth transition from surgery to recovery.
• Assess and manage pain levels and administer medications accordingly.
• Communication and Collaboration:
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
• Documentation and Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all aspects of care provided.
• Complete required forms and reports in a timely and thorough manner.
• Emergency Response:
• Respond efficiently to emergency situations, demonstrating proficiency in life-saving techniques.
• Assist in implementing emergency protocols as necessary.

Salary: $2,700.00 per week

Experience:

• Nursing: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Required)
• RN (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
