Plato's Closet Albuquerque West is a locally owned and operated franchise that opened in May 2015. Our Mission Statement:

Plato’s Closet is the preferred store of fashion conscious, spending savvy teens and
twenty‐something’s. We buy and sell gently used brand name apparel and accessories. Plato’s Closet puts cash in your pocket and offers cool stuff at great prices.

Core Accountabilities:

• Ensures appropriate inventory level and product mix through well-trained buyers buying in-style merchandise to meet customers tastes, superior customer communication and interaction and grassroots marketing.
• Analyzes inventory productivity by continually reviewing reports and in-store observations and implementing appropriate actions to maximize inventory turns and profitability.
• Increases performance through thoughtful communication, accountability in goal setting and innovative leadership.
• Creates and maintains a strong customer focus culture by driving sales and business through developing the talents and skill levels of all people directly reporting to them.
• Responsible for visual and operational direction with urgency and proper planning. Ensures the total presentation of the store is impactful, customer focused and maximizes sales.
• Constantly assesses individual performance to maximize results for yourself and your store.
• Assists in meeting current hiring plan to meet specific needs of the business and store, including a diverse applicant pool and building a network of qualified internal and external leadership talent.
• Assures all staff are meeting performance expectations, provides direct feedback, and holds team accountable for individual results and behaviors.
• Focuses on major areas affecting profitability including but not limited to: Customer Service, Comparative Sales, Inventory Control and Risk Management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of retail experience. 1 years in management with a strong emphasis in the store operation functions and customer service capacity preferred.
• Experience in Buying or Inventory Planning a plus but not required.
• Strong analytical, time management, creative problem solving, and project management skills.
• Strong computer skills
• Able to interpret all policies and procedures appropriately to resolve customer and employee issues.
• Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business that may include long hours, evenings and weekends.
• Able to lift and carry 40lbs and maneuver around sales floor, back room and office areas.
• GED or HS Diploma required / 2-year college degree a plus
