Description

As the Director of Procurement for Platinum Dermatology Partners, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient sourcing and procurement of goods and services critical to the operations of our organization. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). It requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of procurement processes within the healthcare industry, and a keen focus on quantitative analysis to drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Sourcing:
    • Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies to optimize costs while maintaining quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Identify and leverage opportunities for consolidating vendors, negotiating contracts, and establishing preferred supplier relationships.
  2. Vendor Management:
    • Oversee the selection, evaluation, and management of vendors and suppliers.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure the reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness of goods and services.
  3. Contract Negotiation:
    • Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements.
    • Ensure contracts align with organizational objectives and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.
  4. Supply Chain Optimization:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline supply chain processes and improve efficiency.
    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance procurement workflows and reduce lead times.
  5. Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage procurement budgets, forecasting expenditures and tracking actual spending against targets.
    • Implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor financial performance to achieve budgetary goals.
  6. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies governing procurement activities.
    • Mitigate the risks associated with supplier relationships, contractual agreements, and supply chain disruptions.
  7. Data Analysis:
    • Utilize the quantitative analysis tools and techniques to analyze procurement data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
    • Develop and maintain procurement metrics and KPIs to measure performance and drive continuous improvement.
  8. Team Leadership:
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
    • Set clear goals and expectations, delegate tasks effectively, and empower team members to achieve success.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with 3 years of experience specifically in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare procurement regulations, compliance requirements, and industry trends.
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiations, cost savings initiatives, and supplier relationship management.
  • Proficiency in the administration of Coupa Procure-2-Pay software or similar.
  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis tools like Excel, SAP, or similar software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Physical Requirements: Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping and bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Includes handling of sharps and chemicals. Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.
