The Injection Molding Technician is responsible for setting up and monitoring the injection molding of plastic parts to ensure optimal performance and quality of products.

Responsibilities

• Set and start molds and auxiliary equipment for new production runs; following work instructions.

• Coordinate with maintenance and production personnel to resolve machine, equipment, and process malfunctions.

• Respond to quality assurance requests, performing and documenting process adjustments.

• Conduct job changeovers and assist with facility start-up and shutdown.

• Conduct safety checks on machines and mold cleanings, changes, and preventative maintenance as needed.

• Assist in training and certifying production workers, ensuring adherence to quality standards.

• Implement and assist with improvements in injection presses, material handling, and tooling.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

• Seek continuous improvement in work processes through teamwork and cooperation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A professional engineering degree or vocational training is preferred.

• Must be able to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, perform basic mathematical calculations.

• Must have at least 2 years of injection molding manufacturing experience.

• Ability to stand, walk, use hands & fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and lift up to 60 pounds.
