Attention, Grammar Geeks! We are looking for a highly skilled, detail-obsessed, professional Senior Copy Editor with a great attitude and ridiculously high work ethic. Is that you? Ideally, this is an editor with experience editing web content and SEO marketing assets. We are not looking for a writer who can edit. We are looking for a copy editor who loves editing copy. Period. We are a full-service marketing company seeking someone who can review and revise SEO copy for our clients' websites and other marketing projects to ensure engaging, accurate, and high-quality content. Under the direction of the VP of Operations, the Editor will edit written SEO content that promotes our company and our clients’ practices.

Products You'll Focus On:

All written content the company and its clients produce, from blog and procedure page content to emails and print marketing materials to Google Ads landing pages and paid social ads.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure every written piece is edited to comply with the company and client guidelines
• Serve as a fact-checker to verify the accuracy of the content in every written piece
• Researching relevant SEO keywords to include in the content
• Discussing content with clients during phone and video conferences as needed
• Choosing stock photos and patient images to be included in published blogs
• Communicating with other departments (project managers, marketing, design, IT, and sales) when needed to determine project direction and specifics
• Submitting projects on time and within our project management software (Wrike)

Requirements:

• 5 years of professional copy editing experience (i.e., not just editing your college roommate's papers)
• Master of the AP Stylebook and Chicago Manual of Style and the ability to adapt to in-house style guides
• Excellent knowledge of spelling, grammar, and punctuation
• Proficiency in editing electronically with Google Docs edits feature (version history)
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with writers, marketers, project managers, salespersons, and team leaders
• An open mind and teachable spirit—we don't edit like other companies; sometimes we break the rules (but you have to know the rules to break them)
• Ability to write clear, concise, accurate, and organized copy
• Strong research skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Bachelor’s degree (English, creative writing, communications, journalism, or a related field)
