Senior Project Manager
Make your mark. Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), affiliate entity of Plante & Moran, PLLC (PM) provides fully integrated Program Management/Owners Representation and Real Estate Services exclusively to corporations and institutional organizations.
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic individual with exceptional interpersonal skills to perform as a senior project manager overseeing either large-scale or multiple programs of varying scope and scale.This role requires the ability to work with a diverse client base and requires effective communication and technical skills with the ability to educate a client on risk in order to drive appropriate program decisions.
Your role.
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
  • Provide program leadership working with existing clients.
  • Work with clients directly to oversee the multiple vendors and client stakeholders required to design and construct the program.Responsibilities include procuring vendors (A/E, Constructor, etc.), overseeing the program to ensure budgetary and scheduling adherence that comply with stated project objectives.
  • Advise on program risk and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Advise on best practices and industry standards for contracting methodologies, program scheduling and budgetary decisions.
  • Advise on issue resolution that aligns with stated project objectives.
  • Effectively interact, coordinate and communicate with all levels of client management and support staff.
  • Attend and participate in meetings with the Client, Architect, Constructors, and other professional service firms.
  • Prepare and make presentations to Clients as requested for projects in progress including regular project updates.
  • Work within an internal team to ensure implementation and compliance of P&M and PMR policies and procedures on projects.
  • May require oversight and management of junior staff.
The qualifications.
  • Engineering Degree, Architecture Degree, or Construction Management Degree from an accredited college or university
  • 15-20 years of building, design, and construction experience in the following areas: project management, construction administration or construction field management
  • Experience working for an Owner's Facility Team or as a consultant is preferred
  • Construction field experience on large-scale commercial / institutional work and knowledge of construction best practices are required.
  • Understanding of the design process that drives scope and budget development is desirable.
  • Construction cost estimating experience is desirable
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or estimating experience is desirable
  • Experience with vertical construction, high density or high profile projects is desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project and/or Primavera Scheduling Software; Familiarity with BIM
  • Qualified individuals must either reside in or near the Metro Detroit area or be willing to relocate to these areas for this opportunity; Frequent travel throughout the region, with approximately 10% overnight travel.

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) Information

Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with the CO Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.

Colorado monthly base range is as follows:

$7,333.33 to $13,875.00
We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a balance fund, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.
