Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Pay: $15.00 p/h

Location: Crystal River, FL

Reports to: Chief Engineer

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Performs general maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained.

Only candidates that meet the below qualifications will be considered.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists with completion of the preventative maintenance checklist and completes minor repair work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc., to maintain the hotel and keep product quality to standard.
• Assists in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems and makes minor repairs and/ or replacement.
• Assists in checking and makes minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Refurbishes furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters. Paints and finishes furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, if needed.
• Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
• Follows company policies and procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned as business demands.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Valid Drivers’ License.
• Position requires a flexible schedule including AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Will be required to work in fast paced environment.
• Must be able to work independently or as a team.
• Strong organizational skills or required.
• Knowledge/ experience of preventative maintenance. A significant portion of the day is spent ensuring all equipment is properly functioning.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to complete repetitive motions throughout the day such as pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, etc.
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day.
• Exposure to various types of Florida weather conditions including: sunshine, heat, and rain.
• Strong communications skills, oral and written are required. Must be able to speak and write English.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry, etc. up to 100lbs.
