Pay: $8.98/hr tips

Job Summary

Provides prompt and courteous food and beverage services to restaurant and banquet guests while maximizing sales and guest satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

• Accommodates any special requests that the kitchen is able to deliver for a guest.
• Up sells established menu items or specials to maximize food and beverage revenues.
• Serves menu items to guests in a prompt and courteous manner and according to established service standards.
• Create an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests by providing excellent customer service, anticipating their needs and serving them in a professional and efficient manner.
• Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service.
• Responsible to accurately take all orders and place them using the point-of-sale system.
• Relay orders to kitchen and serve courses from kitchen and service bars accordingly.
• Garnish and decorate dishes as needed prior to serving.
• Display knowledge of wine, beer and spirits.
• Observes all guests and members throughout the service and ensure satisfaction. Respond to any additional requests and determine when meal has been completed.
• Present checks with script and posts charges to member/guest account accordingly.
• Daily checklists of duties and monitor linen supplies.
• Perform a wide range of functions to ensure efficiency of the department
• Ensure tables are cleared and reset in a timely manner
• Conduct opening and closing procedures by ensuring all procedures are being followed
• Assist Greeter with welcoming and seating guests; assist dining room assistants with clearing tables and filling glasses.
• May cross train for banquet service.
• Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
• Follows company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Position requires flexibility in scheduling including AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays. Overtime may be required due to business needs.
• Must have attention to detail, strong ability to multi-task, and time-management skills
• Must have or be able to obtain a ServSafe certification within 30 days of employment
• Alcohol Awareness Certification
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic mathematical skills are used when completing customer payment transactions.
• Proficiency with POS systems is required.
• Restaurant server experience of at least 1 year is required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to complete repetitive motions throughout shift such as reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, etc
• Be able to carry, lift, and push items up to 75 pounds, frequently
• Be able to work in a hot, cold, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
