Planned Parenthood of Northern New England is Hiring a Patient Access & Revenue Coordinator Near Concord, NH

Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) is seeking candidates for a full time, 37.5 hours/ week, Patient Access & Revenue Coordinator. This position has flexibility to be a hybrid remote-onsite position based out of the states of Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont. Applicant would need to have ability to travel to administrative space in Colchester, VT, Concord, NH, Keene, NH or Portland, ME as needed for onsite work as determined by the needs of the organization.

In support of PPNNE’s mission ensure patient access to affordable healthcare, including timely delivery of contraceptive supplies by mail, supporting health center staff in optimizing an enhanced pre-visit screening and decreasing financial barriers by supporting patient in enrollment in state Medicaid programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete pharmacy-by-mail requests in a timely manner following all policies and procedures.
  • Maintain working knowledge of and comply with all Pharmacy Regulations for Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire as it relates to the mailing of prescriptions.
  • Ensure compliance with postal requirements and restrictions.
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding the mailing of their prescriptions with an emphasis on patient satisfaction and creative problem solving.
  • Collect and process payment for patient’s prescriptions prior to mailing and record the payment in the patient’s account with accuracy.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the electronic health record, pharmacy dispensing and practice management systems used by PPNNE.
  • Review Health Center schedules and take defined actions in advance of the patients’ appointments in order to promote efficiency for patients and staff.
  • Complete initial screening and assist patients with enrollment into state Medicaid programs in Vermont, Maine & New Hampshire.
  • Process patient mailings as needed within health care operations, patient access and support services
  • Assist in completing other tasks within the health care delivery scope that promote patient access to care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school, plus 1 to 2 years relevant practical experience; or experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
  • Familiarity with Epic, our practice management system, is beneficial, but not required
  • Strong computer competency and computer skills
  • Commitment to customer service and satisfaction
  • Commitment to all aspects of reproductive health care as it pertains to delivery of services to patients
  • Flexibility, initiative, creative thinking, and willingness to learn required
  • Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of individuals
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to travel to/from post offices, UPS, and other Planned Parenthood Health Centers
  • Ability to key stroke for up to 4 hr., sit for up to 6 hr., stand for up to 1 hour a day
  • Ability to operate all normal office equipment
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • The range of pay for this position is $19.77/hr - $26.61/hr based on years of experience. Access to benefits are available including health, dental, vision insurance, paid time off and retirement fund.
