The Role
    • The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing and executing procurement and supply chain strategies for critical and high-value procurement contracts, supplier partnerships, and strategic procurement projects within manufacturing.
    • The Supply Chain Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and products through the manufacturing process, from procurement to distribution. The strategies implemented by the Supply Chain Manager will optimize the supply chain, minimize costs, and maintain high levels of quality and compliance.
    • The primary objective of this role is to ensure that the company's supply chain functions effectively, meeting production schedules, quality standards, and customer expectations.
The Accountabilities
    • Management of purchasing activity for PIP including supervision of inward goods and non-conformance process
    • Reporting of progress and status to agreed plans
    • Development of plans, schedules, and budgets for review and approval
    • Management of purchasing activities such as:
    • Company supply chain performance
    • Maintenance and improvement of purchasing procedures in an ISO 13485 facility
    • Vendor Management
    • NCR management related to suppliers
    • Forecasting and planning for ISO 13485 manufacturing and project-based shipping
    • Oversee ERP refinements and improvements to add efficiencies to the manufacturing process
    • Negotiation of pricing and supplier agreements
    • Provide leadership to PI project purchasing activities
    • Lead Supply Chain process improvements in a Lean Manufacturing environment
    • Develop and implement key performance tracking metrics for all aspects of the Supply Chain
    • Regularly provide reporting on the status of inventory
    • Reduce and maintain a low-cost base across the entire business through the management of strategically planned contract negotiations, supplier management, demand management activities, and supply chain initiatives
    • Provide highly specialized knowledge of procurement matters and be a reference point for complex procurement matters over one or more categories.
    • Other duties as required commensurate with your skills and experience
The Typical Experiences
    • Demonstrated procurement experience in regulated manufacturing industry
    • Extensive experience purchasing from local and overseas suppliers
    • ISO 13485 experience
    • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end Supply Chain
    • Compliance with internal sales process methodology and standards, including opportunity identification
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions to optimize the supply chain
    • Knowledge of ERP systems and other supply chain management tools and technologies
    • Adherence to OH&S requirements: Safe use of potentially hazardous equipment, liquids, etc.
    • Compliance with policies, procedures and international quality standards
    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP) preferred
$145,000 - $165,000 a year
