The Operating Technician is responsible for preparation, set-up, start and running manufacturing equipment under the guidance of the Production Shift Leader. Accountabilities also include ensuring that jobs meet quality specifications, manufacturing standards and that safety procedures are followed while working to continuously improve quality and productivity of manufacturing operations.

Work Environment Conditions:
Inside (other): Good Manufacturing Procedures/American Institute of Bakers certified manufacturing environment
Equipment/Tools Used:
Thermoforming equipment, computers, controls, measurement equipment, pallet jacks, hand tools
Physical Requirements: Light work (lift 10 lbs): continuously - cases of product and hand tools
Medium Work (lift 11-30 lbs.) regularly - cases of product and pallets (3-4 times per shift). Heavy Work (lift 31-50 lbs.) occasionally - (one to two times per shift): cases of product and pallets Other Physical Requirements: Bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, twisting, standing for long periods of time Mental Requirements Reading, writing, calculating, interpersonal skills, reasoning/analysis, works with minimal supervision
