This position will report directly to the Area Controller as part of the Alloyd Finance and Accounting team. The Financial Analyst / Accountant will be responsible for supporting the business through monthly and quarterly sales reporting, helping to facilitate the sales forecasting and budgeting processes, and ad hoc financial analysis directed by the Area Controller and/or General Manager as needed. Additionally, the position will also support limited aspects of the month-end close process and other special projects as determined by the Area Controller. Responsibilities and Scope Lead the monthly sales reporting function for the business by preparing a variety of different monthly reports to provide insights into actual results and comparisons to prior year, forecast, and budget. Assist in the monthly margin reporting for both the Print and Plastic areas of the business to help management drive margin improvement with specific customers, markets, or items. Aggregate weekly sales backlog and shipping data analysis to provide management continuous visibility into expected monthly sales. Manage the monthly and quarterly sales commission calculations, working closely with the segment Sales Director. Calculate and monitor monthly customer and supplier rebates, as well as ensuring compliance with the supporting agreements. Develop and maintain capital project cash spend projections, assist project managers with internal rate of return and other financial analysis for capital project submissions, maintaining the data utilized for capital reforecasts. Act as a key partner/resource to both the Area Controller and the General Manager to assist with other special projects or ad hoc analysis. Implement and/or suggest process improvements to streamline key processes and procedures while improving the accuracy of the financial statements and enhancing the internal control environment. What should you have to succeed? A strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multi-task multiple workstreams simultaneously. Advanced Microsoft Excel including data mining skillset. Experience with ERPs, Crystal Reporting, Access, and other similar skills would be a plus. A willingness to partner closely with the Area Controller to support the overall business as needed. Required Skills / Experience / Education Bachelor's Degree required (ideally Finance or Accounting) 3-5 years of relevant experience in a Financial Analyst or Accounting role Advanced/Proficient Excel background, general IT systems knowledge, and an analytical mindset Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders outside of the Finance team Comfortable working independently with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask while meeting specific deadlines Experience with inventory/working in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required Location: Primary physical office for this position is Batavia, IL, however, open to discussion with the Area Controller. This position is also eligible for a hybrid office/remote arrangement in or around the Chicagoland area.
