About the role

PKL Services Inc. will be providing contractors to support the F-35 mission requirements, warehouse spaces have been reconfigured to optimize and supplement the current layouts and capacity. New storage aids were installed in these warehouse spaces to include vertical lift modules (VLM), package racks, pallet racks, cantilever racks, and tire racks. Warehouse space at Naval Air Station Fallon (NASF) is approximately 20,000 square feet and includes racking structures up to 24 feet tall. The expanded F-35 mission requirements have created a need for contractor labor support to execute the F-35 material management mission at Naval Air Station Fallon (NASF), in Fallon, Nevada.

Notes:

  • Personnel hired for this contract can expect to be assigned to one (1) of two (2) work shifts.
  • The government will provide all tools necessary to perform the technical requirement of this task order.

Summary:

The Warehouse Specialist (21410) performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting, and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with (IAW) prescribed storage methods, rearranging, and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials, and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage, and preparing it for shipment. This worker may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

Basic responsibilities for the Warehouse Specialist Include:

  • Ensure proper material management services which will ensure aircraft are appropriately maintained and mission ready.
  • Shall verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting, and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
  • Properly routing materials to prescribed storage locations, storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with (IAW) prescribed storage methods.
  • Must be able to rearrange and take inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage, and preparing it for shipment.
  • Shall be responsible for the management of inventory, warehouse operations, transportation, and “preservation, packaging, packing, and marking” (PPP&M) for F-35 materials.
  • Need to be qualified to operate assigned support equipment (SE) in performing warehousing duties.
  • Shall utilize government furnished material handling equipment (MHE) such as standard forklifts, swing-reach forklifts, order picker forklifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to become proficient using the automated logistics information system (ALIS).
  • Able to perform work associated with pack-up kits (PUK). This includes pulling materials to build PUKs and processing PUK parts back into inventory.
  • Perform and record perpetual inventory on stock in location after each warehousing action.
  • Perform disposal of identified materials. This will not include hazardous materials (HAZMAT).
  • Any and all other duties as assigned by the Program Manager/Site Manager.

About you
We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Shall have a minimum of one (1) year specialized warehouse experience.
  • Must have and maintain a valid State Driver’s License if the use of a government vehicle is required with billet.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Shall be able to obtain a DOD CAC card privileges to ensure access to flight line workspaces and critical information systems.
  • Each contractor employee must have a favorably completed NACLC or T3 or T3R equivalent investigation to obtain a favorable determination for assignment to a non-critical sensitive or IT-II position. The investigation consists of a standard NAC and an FBI fingerprint check plus law enforcement checks and credit check. Each contractor employee filling a non-critical sensitive or IT-II position is required to complete:
    • SF-86 Questionnaire for National Security Positions (or equivalent Office of Personnel Management (OPM) investigative product)
    • Two (2) FD-258 Applicant Fingerprint Cards (or an electronic fingerprint submission
    • Original Signed Release Statements

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Office and warehouse environment
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • The physical job requirement involves, but is not limited to, walking, reaching, bending-over, concentration in the presence of noise, lifting items up to 50 lbs., and traversing narrow passageways, climbing ladders/stairs, and operating in confined spaces and in buildings with a potential to operate onboard naval vessels and barges.
  • Normal color/depth perception required.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key).
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
