Join Our Underwater Yacht Diving Team!

PJ’s Divers and Docks is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Yacht Diving Team on a full-time basis. If you have a passion for the water and are ready for an exciting opportunity, we want to hear from you!

Qualifications:

• Location: You must reside within 20 miles of zip code 33776 to apply.
• Transportation: Valid driver’s license and your own transportation are required, without exception.
• Dive Certification: PADI/NAUI Dive certification is mandatory, and candidates must be confident and comfortable in and under the water. Strong swimming skills are essential.
• Work Experience: A solid prior work track record, along with references, is required and will be verified.
• Physical Fitness: Cleaning barnacles off a yacht's hull is physically demanding. Applicants must be in good physical shape to meet the demands of the job.
• Equipment: You will need diving equipment such as a scuba mask, regulator, fins, weight belt, etc.

Compensation:

• We offer competitive pay and opportunities for career advancement.
• During the training period, pay is $15 per hour for a minimum of two weeks, up to one month, depending on experience.
• After training, pay is either commission based or project-based at $25 per hour, depending on what jobs you are given
• On average, divers earn $700-$1000 per week, but there is ample opportunity to earn even more!

Job Responsibilities:

PJ's Divers and Docks serves the Pinellas County and Tampa Bay Area from Hudson to Sarasota. We are seeking experienced bottom cleaners with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Ideal candidates will have prior hull cleaning experience. Experience with wrapping pilings or dock repair is a plus.

As a member of our team, you will:

• Represent PJ's Divers and Docks professionally while performing underwater hull cleaning and technical work on client’s boats.
• Be required to wear a uniform shirt with dive equipment (wetsuit, dry suit if preferred, mask, fins, weight belt, dive light) provided at your expense.
• Perform underwater hull cleaning, inspect and replace zinc anodes, and retrieve items from the water.
• Conduct underwater inspections with the use of specialized equipment and lighting, delivering visual feedback to clients.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically capable of diving in challenging conditions and be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Water Confidence: Comfortable swimmers with confidence in the water are essential.
• Fearless: Ability to dive into low visibility waters.
