Pizza King is Searching for a motivated, entry-level IT Field Service Technician to join our growing IT Department. We seek someone who is highly independent, motivated, and organized. As this position is entry-level, we are prepared to train someone who has the right temperament but lacks IT/Field Technician experience.

Independent: After training, much of this job is completed without direct supervision, on the road and in our restaurants.

Motivated: Given the independent nature of the role, an ideal technician is motivated to follow through with assigned tasks in an efficient manner.

Organized: We are seeking someone who is willing to put in work to do a job correctly, the first time. An ideal technician can follow installation standards every time, and communicate with stakeholders about progress, changes in plans, and issues that arise.

While a significant portion of this job requires being on the road to travel to our restaurants, each day starts and ends at our corporate office in Muncie.

Operation Responsibilities:

• Travel from store to store to address repair and installation tickets as assigned
• Networking:
• Running new cables in stores in accordance with IT Department standards.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and/or replacing networking hardware
• Configuring network hardware and software in accordance with IT Department standards.
• Communication:
• Coaching stakeholders over the phone to repair issues remotely
• Training staff on new software
• Communicating with staff when IT work will interfere with restaurant flow
• Keeping IT Department up to date on progress on tickets and issues that arise
• Problem solving-All IT issues come down to being able to think about and solve problems.

Technology Competencies (after training):

• Basic networking - router configuration & switch deployment.
• VoIP support

Requirements:

• Able and willing to work 40 hours per week.
• 18 years or older.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Able to sit in a car for multiple hours while driving.
• Able to be on your feet for multiple hours while working.
• A valid driver’s license for a minimum of 6 months and acceptable driving record.
• Ability and desire to communicate thoughtfully and respectfully to all stakeholders, such as store management, frontline staff, and outside vendors in person, on the phone, and through written communication (email, text message).
• An ability and desire to learn challenging topics
• An ability and willingness to safely use ladders and enter attics and drop ceilings.

• Pay range for this position is $13-$17/hour, depending on experience and knowledge.
