Pivotal Brewing Company is looking for some kick-ass talent to add to our passionate team of beertenders. Our home is housed in a gorgeous, historic mill building in the heart of downtown Bristol, RI. Our new brewery spans 8000 sq ft and features a unique and vibrant taproom and two outdoor patios.

Our ideal candidate has a passion for all things craft beer and a flair for sales and delivering memorable customer experiences. This person is self-motivated, has a positive attitude, is friendly, outgoing, organized, and fun, with the ability to multitask.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Knowledgeably assist customers in their beer selection, making beer recommendations, and increasing brand recognition
• Goal-oriented and sales-driven
• Anticipate and quickly respond to guests’ needs, providing timely, attentive, and friendly service
• Maintain a meticulously clean and organized bar, taproom, patio, restroom, and workspace
• Operate draft system and change out kegs as necessary
• Participate in regular beer tastings to gain knowledge of our beer styles and brewing process, ensure quality, and effectively engage and educate customers
• Assist during private events as necessary
• Work collaboratively with peers and leaders
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail on requested tasks

Candidates should be adaptable and willing to carry out any other tasks not mentioned above, as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age and fully able to participate in sensory-tasting
• A strong passion for craft beer and beer styles is mandatory: Bonus points for knowledge of the brewing process
• Experience in a fast-paced brewery or hospitality setting is a plus
• Possess top-notch sales and customer service superpowers, with meticulous attention to detail, and a learning and growth mindset. Bonus points for an epic sense of humor
• A positive attitude is an absolute must
• A knack for problem-solving and troubleshooting; flexibility is key!
• Self-starter with top-notch organization, communication, and multitasking skills
• Basic math skills, reading skills, and computer/POS skills
• Tips (Training for Intervention Procedures) training must be completed by the start date
• Knowledge of workplace safety and sanitation procedures is a plus
• Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift
• Ability to lift to 25lbs without assistance and up to 50lbs with assistance
• Must be willing to work at least two days a week (including Saturdays), with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
