A boiler technician, also known as a boiler operator or boiler engineer, is a skilled professional responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of boilers and other heating systems. Boilers are critical components in many commercial and industrial facilities, providing heat and hot water for various processes and applications.

The responsibilities of a boiler technician may include:

• Installation: Installing new boiler systems, including connecting pipes, valves, and other components according to specifications and safety standards.
• Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspecting, and lubricating boiler parts to ensure efficient and safe operation.
• Repair: Diagnosing and repairing boiler malfunctions, leaks, and other issues to restore proper function and prevent downtime.
• Testing and Monitoring: Testing boiler water quality, pressure levels, and other parameters to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Emergency Response: Responding to emergency calls to address sudden breakdowns or safety issues with boiler systems.
• Upgrades and Retrofitting: Upgrading existing boiler systems with new components or retrofitting them for improved efficiency and compliance with regulations.
• Compliance: Ensuring that boiler systems comply with relevant safety codes, regulations, and environmental standards.

Boiler technicians typically undergo specialized training and certification to work with boiler systems safely and effectively. Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
