If you are a highly talented Pitch and Proposal Manager interested in leading teams of attorneys and staff through the pitch process, we want to hear from you!

This position is remote. Candidates may be required on occasion to visit the local office when/if needed.

We were one of the first law firm business development departments to build a market-facing team of business developers with experience selling professional services, and we remain a market leader in this area. The Pitch & Proposal department consistently demonstrates growth in revenue generation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related discipline
  • 7 years’ project/production and management of RFP’s in a professional services environment
  • General understanding of the role of business development within a law firm environment
  • Database experience and knowledge of management systems and presentation software
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Solid judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to recommend and implement solutions
  • Ability to maintain collaborative relationships with attorneys, staff, team members, marketing professionals, client development executives, pricing staff and others

What will your day look like?A typical day will require you to manage the pitch and proposal response lifecycle from start to finish. This will include organizing and conducting proper kick-off calls, determining response requirements, assigning responsibilities, compiling and organizing information, creating new content, quality control, and ensuring on-time delivery. You will provide strategic guidance for RFP responses, proposals, and pitches. You will also interface with all attorneys and staff involved in the process to best position pursuit for successful outcomes. You will gather intelligence, conduct audience analyses, client/project needs analyses, perception analyses, and additionally be responsible for key message development.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. 

The expected annual pay range for this position, if hired to work in San Francisco is $132,799 – $197,544 per year. If hired to work in Los Angeles, San Diego, or Seattle the expected annual pay range is $121,732 - $181,082 per year. The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate’s geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
